Greetings from CC's Coffee in downtown New Orleans. Thanks to my friend Tavishi, I now know that Cold War Kids are going to be playing at Vinyl on March 23. Um, yes please.

Hard to believe that I already have plans for that night. However, I can do a little schedule juggling and don't place to miss this show.
btw- Sebadoh tickets for the April 8th show at Variety Playhouse are now on sale.

i used to live in the NO. i miss it there.
do they have the streetcars running again yet?

Yep, some. Not regularly the way they did in the past, but I see 'em once in a while. The city's not looking great, as you might imagine, but there are signs of life and rebuilding. I doubt I'll have time to get out and take any pictures, but it's coming along.

yeah, i actually lived there during the hurricane and moved away about a quarter into last year, so i know first-hand how crumby it was/is. i don't have plans to return until april, i'm a little scared that it's gonna look just like it did when i left.
it's a great city; i wish more people cared about it like we do.
