I've seen them twice and they were fun, but their music sounds like they are a "one trick pony."

Do you know if there is anything on "Stay Positive" that doesn't sound like their other discs?

No idea, Paulie, but I feel the same way about them. Their fans will think I'm nuts, but I get bored with them pretty quickly.

Hi Rich / Cable & Tweed,

On behalf of Rough Trade, Beggars Digital and The Hold Steady we would kindly ask you not to post copies of "Stay Positive" on your site (or any non-preview tracks from the band’s new album – street date 14th July).

Looks like Web Sheriff didn't read the post or comments. The two tracks I posted are from their older albums and are hosted ***on the Hold Steady website***. I didn't post 'Stay Positive' or anything from it.

uh-oh Rich busted by the Web Sheriff, lol.

One of the best comments i've received from the Sheriff, actually thanking me for posting a stream for The Ranconteurs' album.

No sweat, anon. At least there's nothing here to actually get me into trouble!

PJ, that's hilarious. I bet you were among the few. I don't post streams if I can avoid it, as I think they're annoying.
