Tilly and the Wall on tour, play Variety Playhouse 7/24

I never expected to say this, but Tilly and the Wall have released one of my favorite records of the year. Their O on Team Love is crafted from generous helpings of pop, rock, and twee, and the whole things comes together beautifully. There are moments of Joan Jett rock alongside synth-pop a la Mates of State, with lots of high energy and '70s radio shimmer. A damn fine album.
