The Raconteurs coming to Atlanta

According to Pitchfork, The Raconteurs are coming to The Tabernacle in Atlanta on September 19. Tix are on sale June 10 at 9am (thx to Amanda for the update).

I was gonna post an mp3 here, but tix are $29 plus charges, so... meh. Looks like I won't be going.

Also, remember these events this week:
Thurs, 6/8 - The Wiz @ Screen on the Green (free)
Thurs, 6/8 - Starlight Mints, dios (malos), Octopus Project @ Smith's Olde Bar
Fri, 6/9 - Figurines @ Criminal Records (free)
Fri, 6/9 - Tin Cup Prophette, Liz Durrett @ Eddie's Attic
Fri, 6/9 - Tapes 'n Tapes, Figurines, Cold War Kids @ Drunken Unicorn
Fri, 6/9 - The Selmanaires, Deerhunter, The Liverhearts @ The EARL

Ouch, that does seem a bit steep for tickets, especially when you add in the charges. Bummer.

Worst part is I'm sure it'll sell out anyway. Hmph.

Still cheaper than Steely Dan at Chastain.

Cheaper than a lot of shows. But still too much.

And I just found out that there is a pre-sale starting at noon today. Unfortunately, I've got too many other things tugging at my wallet.

Wow. Didn't know about the Figurines in-store. You going? I'll have some mp3s up on KISS later this week. Very good stuff.

Actually, I probably won't make the in-store. My plan is to hit the Tin Cup Prophette/Liz Durrett thing and then jet over to the DU afterward. TCP/Liz have the Early show at Eddie's so they have to be done by 9pm. Should work out very well.

The Raconteurs tix are pretty steep, but for those who are still interested in going, tix go on sale to the public on Saturday June 10th, not Friday June 16th. Just FYI
