Around the horn

Lois Lane and Clark Kent, from Action Comics #653

Some items off the presses...

Athens music blog The Day Jobs is looking for one or more folks to take over. If you have what it takes, drop them a line.

While 21 may have won the weekend box office, it's still a vapid and predictable waste of two hours.

The awesome Southern Shelter is hosting .mp3 files of Elf Power's CD release show from Saturday. Check 'em out, and be sure to thank Sloan!

Mohawk Media is sharing the first chapter of the forthcoming Mr. T graphic novel. Apparently the story "mixes in all the adrenaline-fuelled action normally associated with the television tough guy, including a dejected armor-clad maniac, an unstoppable lumberjack, mysterious costumed adversaries, and someone who appears far too familiar for comfort." Wait... unstoppable lumberjack? I'm in. Download the .pdf directly.

OhmPark reports that Atlanta's Snowden is going on tour with Colour Revolt. No Georgia dates, but they're covering a lot of ground from the east coast to Texas.

Snowden - Anti-Anti
Colour Revolt - Naked and Red

Aquarium Drunkard revisits one of my favorite records, Morphine's Yes from 1995.

IGN has six separate reviews of Marvel's Secret Invasion #1, the mini-series kickoff due this Wednesday. I won't be able to read it until I get back from Chicago on Sunday, and that stinks.

According to Film.com, a sequel to cult classic Boondock Saints is on the way.

Occasional Superheroine notes that Christopher Walken turned 65 yesterday. Still creepy, still awesome, and still amazing paired with Fatboy Slim.

If I missed your favorite story, feel free to speak up...

Huh. Ambivalent, I guess. I haven't played a Zelda game in probably 20 years (oh, God...) and it just looks... odd.
