Let's talk Radiohead, shall we?
As previously noted, I couldn't make it to Radiohead at Lakewood (Atlanta) last night. I'm headed to Charlotte today instead. So, how was the show?
If you hit another show on the tour, feel free to speak up. I'll report back when I get home...

last night in the ATL was amazing. played mostly the new record with a few oldies sprinkled on top for good measure. very nice.

Solid show. Lots of energy from the packed crowd at Lakewood (19,000). Played the big hits (Paranoid, Anthem, Idioteque); some new hits (Videotape, Bodysnatchers, House of Cards); some fun ones (Bangers & Mash); and threw in some obscurity for good measure (Talk Show Host from Romeo & Juliet Soundtrack).
Rain even held off a bit for those of us on the packed lawn. Good times!

Really great show. The rain held off except for a few sprinkles. The stage was filled with gigantic rope-lights that boxed out an area for the band, and there was a videoscreen behind that showed a strip of live footage from hidden camera trained on each member. It did a good job of creating spectacle while still feeling gritty and homespun.
Of course, the music was great. Here's the setlist:
All I Need
There There
Lucky
15 Step
Where I End and You Begin
Nude
Pyramid Song
Optimistic
Weird Fishes/Arpeggi
The National Anthem
Idioteque
You and Whose Army
Reckoner
Everything in Its Right Place
Bangers And Mash
Bodysnatchers
Videotape
Encore #1
The Gloaming
Talk Show Host
Just
Faust Arp
How to Disappear Completely
Encore #2
Paranoid Android

I've lawn tonight, too. Hopefully that severe weather hitting the east coast holds off.
I expect lots of 'In Rainbows' this time and I'm cool with that. That record has really grown on me.

Nice! Thanks for the setlist, B!

Last night was my first Radiohead concert and it was pretty dazzling. I had to remind myself to pay attention to the performers instead of the visual display. Kept trying to figure out how those giant vertical light display thingys were working and wondering why they needed new guitars for every single song. Their flawless musicianship made me realize the albums are maybe overproduced. Radiohead is so much better live, with a few thousand euphoric fans and a tower, hypnotizing set design.
So disappointed that I missed Liars though. I'm not used to shows actually starting on time. The guy behind me described them as "British Megadeth," which made me giggle. Anybody catch them?
10:46 AM
I'd say "British Megadeth" is way, way off. More like L.A.'s Deerhunter. I'm not a Liars fan, personally.

the rain really started to come down around the end of lucky - it was a glorious day. it was awesome to have the changing wind, the occasional light rain and the atmosphere that the weather brought to whole enterprise. the light show was top notch. the music was great. i'm embarrassed to say it, but it was my first radiohead show. maybe it's impossible to compare shows - but i think arcade fire at civic center might have been slightly better than this radiohead show.

wonderful show, I was in the Pit and had a perfect vantage point for the entire show...if only the jackass LCDs would stop singing along out loud to everything...I didn't pay 70 bucks to hear you sing, asshole.
I will post some pictures later

Thanks, Dave. Look forward to those.
Note the standard width of a pic on there is about 450-460 pixels.

It was brilliant. "Talk Show Host" made my week ..."I'll be waiting with a gun and a pack of sandwiches..." Have fun!

i agree that talk show host was incredible. i really loved the video interaction for you and whose army too. we were lucky enough to have tickets in the pit, so the view was incredible!
