Initial Bonnaroo acts announced
Um... holy shit. On the bill this year so far [courtesy Pitchfork]:
The Police, Wilco, Flaming Lips, Tool, Ween, The Decemberists, The White Stripes, The Roots, Cold War Kids, Ben Harper, The Black Keys, Spoon, Lily Allen, Feist, The National, The Hold Steady, David Cross, Lewis Black, Annuals, Fountains of Wayne, Franz Ferdinand, Damien Rice, Regina Spektor.... among others.
And that's just the start. More acts will be announced on Wednesday via the official Bonnaroo site.
Only a handful of those acts I haven't seen live, but that number includes Sting & company in their only scheduled date in the southeast. Hmm...
Bonnaroo takes place June 14-17 in Manchester, Tennessee.

Ha. No idea.
Re: going, not sure. I'd like to see The Police, but other than that it's mostly bands I've seen multiple times as it is. The Black Keys and Spoon stand out as acts I haven't seen live yet, but I don't feel compelled to see them at Bonnaroo since they tour regularly. Certainly have no desire to see Widespread Panic or String Cheese Incident again. Maybe I'll do a day pass this year instead of going for the full 3-4 days?
