Wire announce fall tour, Atlanta date 10/12

I'm off in the Midwest playing the Sal Paradise role (not, alas, at Pitchfork Fest), but this news is too good to let slide.

Seminal punk/post-punk band Wire have announced tour dates including October 12 at the Variety Playhouse in Atlanta. I'm really only familiar with their work from when Jimmy Carter occupied the White House, but they're touring to support a new album called Object 47.

Wire - Dot Dash [Live at CBGB Theater]
Wire - One of Us [from Object 47]

The band has a number of other free and legal downloads at their official site.
