A Fir-Ju Well name change
After getting much attention here and elsewhere about a "break-up," it seems A Fir-Ju Well are still around. More or less, anyway. Someone called in to the Georgia Music Show on WRAS yesterday and said that A Fir-Ju Well had changed their name to Gringo Star. Looks like it's official.

unless this is a joke, it doesn't really matter what any of us think... we will be subjected to untold numbers of pallets, televisions and whatnot informing us of gringo starr's upcoming shows, shan't we?

I dunno... if a band called Gringo Star sent me a promo to check out, I don't think it would exactly leap to the top of the pile. And I'm just an idiot blogger. Hard to imagine A&R, media, or venue folks being much more receptive.

perhaps all of you should start yer own bands and call it what the fuck you want. i find it hard to imagine a crowd of "idiot bloggers" know anything about a pile of shit in the road, let alone creating anything, other than a pile of shit that is.
