Black Lips and Selmanaires tour dates!!!

Yes, dammit, those exclamantion points are warranted. This is, imho, Atlanta's two best rock bands going on the road together. The tour opener will, incidentally, take place about a ten-minute walk from my future front door. If they're coming your way, mark your damn calendar.

To celebrate here is the new Selmanaires track that I debuted on this week's edition of Blog Fresh Radio, recently recorded in Nashville:

The Selmanaires - Broken Mirrors in the Mud

That new album (due this fall) is gonna be smokin'.

Some choice tracks from each band's current releases...

Black Lips - Not a Problem
Black Lips - Stranger
Black Lips - Oh Katrina

The Selmanaires - Selmanaire Rock
The Selmanaires - In the Direction of Yes
The Selmanaires - Images

The Black Lips released a 7" for "Cold Hands" on June 4, and there are two versions with different B-sides. Available for mail order from the UK.

The Selmanaires have several regional shows booked before this tour, including gigs with Dark Meat, The Features, and The Ettes. More info is available on their Myspace.

Both bands deserve great success! I've seen and loved the Ettes and the Features. Dark Meat's MySpace stuff sounds pretty wild..
