Meltdowns, fisticuffs, and The National Pastime

With my Cubs underperforming and fighting among themselves [YouTube link], I was glad to see they don't have a monopoly on hotheads and outrageous behavior.

The manager of the Mississippi Braves, Phillip Wellman, performed perhaps the greatest on-field managerial meltdown in baseball history this weekend. Good for a laugh, and probably a suspension. Gotta love that grenade toss.

this is why cable & tweed is my favorite blog! i loooove baseball. plus you're from atlanta. pinella put on a nice performance today as well. tough luck about your cubbies. hard to pull for the phillies as well, but at least they're not attempting to beat the hell out of one another

So did you hear that Wellman only got a three game suspension and Piniella got four games? I ask you.
